Omni- means 'many' which means an omnivore eats both plants and animals.Chimps, raccoons, opossums, and crows are examples.

Herb- means plants, so herbivores eats plant material. Rabbits, elephants, hippos, deer, and cows are examples

Carn- means meat, so they are the meateaters such as snakes, lions, tigers, and polar bears are examples.

Omnivores eat foliage and meat (Bears). Carnivores only eat meat (Wolves). Herbivores only eat foliage (Bison). Many birds are omnivores especially Scavengers like Crows. All Big Cats are considered Carnivores although they will eat the stomach contents of a kill first (basically stewed veggies). Herbivores are on the bottom of the food chain (goats, antelope and rabbits).
