It's highly unlikely that a humanoid primate of the type that would be "bigfoot" (sasquatch, whatever) would have lived in the US all this time without being found.
To ASSume they exist without hard evidence is quite foolish.
On the other hand, it's also foolish to ASSume, just because of lack of evidence, that they "definitely" do not.
This is even true of the Loch Ness Monster. If we're talking about a big ol' dinosaur, it's ridiculously unlikely, but still possible...and there's also some slight chance that there's some other creature living there, which might have a better chance of hiding than a plesiosaur would.
