I have some birds and wanted to know what colours do they see? Please help...

I think some birds are pentachromtes, which means that they have 5 primary colors (we are trichromates and see 3 primary colors).

I think dragonflies are trichomates too, but their primary colors are UV (which we can't see), blue and green.

Birds have better sight than humans, so they see more colors than us. diurnal birds have a pigmented oil within their cones that helps them sharpen their color, and sometimes reduce glare. birds have two to five more cones per square millimeter than found in a human eye. some birds can also see polarized light and UV light
